We believe that it takes a village to raise a child\, but it also takes a dedicated community to support\, empower\, and care for growing families from the very beginning. \nIn partnership with the University of the District of Columbia (UDC)\, we are proud to host our annual Community Baby Shower! This family-centered afternoon brings together expectant parents and caregivers in the Washington\, D.C. area for a day filled with essential baby care items\, trusted health professionals\, and lifelong community resources. Our goal is to promote positive maternal and infant health outcomes\, reduce the financial stress on new parents\, and ensure that every family enters parenthood feeling valued\, informed\, and fully supported. \nWhat Attendees Can Expect\nWe are creating a warm\, festive\, and informative environment designed to honor parents during this major life transition while honoring our vision of Nurturing the Mother\, Celebrating the Baby. \nRegistered families will enjoy access to: \n\nFree Essential Baby Gear: Every registered family will receive vital care items to help prepare for baby’s arrival\, including diapers\, wipes\, newborn essentials\, and postpartum recovery kits designed specifically to nurture new mothers.\nA Curated Maternal Health & Resource Fair: Connect face-to-face with trusted local experts and advocates. Our resource fair features professionals specializing in birthing centers\, pelvic floor physical therapy\, perinatal mental health\, pediatric and maternal chiropractic care\, and paid family leave rights.\nDirect Access to Support Programs: Learn how to enroll in the M.A.M.A. Free Doula Program\, which provides full-spectrum doula care to eligible pregnant and postpartum parents. You can also sign up for our free monthly M.A.M.A. Meetups to build peer connections with other local families.\nRaffles\, Giveaways & Celebrations: Enjoy door prizes\, special gift basket drawings\, light refreshments\, and a joyful space focused entirely on celebrating your growing family.\n\nNote: Attendance is strictly capped at 100 families to ensure a high-quality\, personalized experience for every guest. Registration is required to secure your gift package and entrance. This event is a free community support space; on-site retail sales are prohibited to keep the focus entirely on parent education and resource sharing. \nGet Involved: Sponsorship\, Vendor & Partner Opportunities\nWe rely on our community partners\, sponsors\, vendors\, donors\, and volunteers to make this day a success! \n\nSponsors ($250–$1\,000): Fuel essential care packages for families while gaining prominent brand recognition and priority access to an optional vendor booth (“Glamma” Presenting\, “Fairy Godmother” Impact\, and “Favorite Auntie” Support tiers).\nVendors ($25 Nonprofit / $75 For-Profit): Connect directly with 100+ local families.
