A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization

Effective December 4, 2025

M.A.M.A. Community Foundation, Inc. (“MCF,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information when you visit www.mamacommunity.org (the “Site”) or use our programs and services (the “Services”).

“Personally Identifiable Information” (“PII”) means information such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, or any other data that can identify you as an individual.

MCF provides educational, supportive, and community-based services. We are not a healthcare provider, and we do not provide medical care. However, in certain programs—such as doula support or lactation counseling—we may collect information that could be considered “Protected Health Information” (“PHI”) when voluntarily shared with us. When applicable, PHI is handled in accordance with relevant privacy laws and program requirements.

  • Communicate with us via email or phone

  • Sign up for programs, classes, or newsletters

  • Register as a volunteer or doula

  • Request support or information

Depending on the program, this may include:

  • Name, email, phone number

  • Demographic information

  • Due date or basic pregnancy information

  • Childbirth preferences

  • Information necessary for program enrollment

If you voluntarily submit health-related details to participate in a program, that information may be treated as PHI and handled according to applicable laws and our internal privacy practices.

When you use our Site, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address

  • Browser type and version

  • Device type and operating system

  • Pages visited and referring website

  • Understand how visitors use our Site

  • Improve navigation and user experience

  • Measure traffic and performance

Cookies do not give us access to information stored on your device beyond what you intentionally share.

You may disable cookies through your browser settings. You do not need to accept cookies to use most of our Site.

Some third-party tools (like advertisers, analytics services, or embedded content platforms) may set their own cookies. This Privacy Policy applies only to MCF’s use of cookies—not third-party cookies.

We do not sell your PII or PHI.

4. Sharing of Information

We only share your information in the following circumstances:

A. With Service Providers

We engage third-party vendors to help operate our Site and Services. These approved providers may have access to PII or PHI solely for the purpose of performing services on our behalf, such as:

  • Website hosting

  • Data storage

  • Email communications

  • Program registration platforms

  • Donation processing

  • Analytics tools

They are contractually obligated not to use or disclose your information for any other purpose.

MCF may share aggregated, de-identified information for:

  • Program evaluation

  • Reporting to funders

  • Research or demographic analysis

  • Impact measurement

We do not share identifiable personal information unless required or explicitly permitted.

C. When Required by Law

We may disclose information if:

  • Required by a court order, subpoena, or other legal process

  • Necessary to comply with federal, state, or local laws

  • Needed to protect the safety, rights, or property of MCF, our users, or the public

  • Necessary to prevent or address illegal activity

D. In the Event of Organizational Changes

If MCF engages in a merger, restructuring, asset transfer, or similar process, your information may be transferred as part of that transition in alignment with nonprofit legal requirements.

5. Protected Health Information (PHI)

MCF is not a medical provider, but in certain programs (e.g., doula support, lactation counseling), you may voluntarily share information about your pregnancy, birth, or postpartum experience.

When applicable:

  • PHI is stored securely

  • PHI is shared only with staff or volunteers who need it to deliver program services

  • PHI is never sold or used for marketing

  • PHI is disclosed only with your consent or when required by law

If any program is covered by additional privacy requirements (e.g., Medicaid documentation standards), MCF complies with those obligations.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is not intended for children under age 13, and we do not knowingly collect PII from children under 13.

We may collect information from parents or legal guardians regarding minors enrolled in MCF programs.
