Childbirth Education Session: Birth Planning
Join us for a virtual childbirth education session focused on birth planning and informed decision-making.
During this interactive session, participants will explore the key sections of a birth plan and discuss common decisions families may encounter during labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period. The goal of this session is to help families better understand their options and feel more confident communicating their preferences with their care team.
Topics will include:
• understanding your due date and induction options
• creating a supportive birth environment
• common procedures and pain management choices during labor
• birth preferences and pushing positions
• post-birth and newborn care decisions
• preparing for unexpected changes in birth
Participants will also be introduced to the B.R.A.I.N. framework for informed decision-making, a helpful tool for asking questions and understanding options during pregnancy and labor.
A birth plan template (with guiding questions) will be provided to help participants begin organizing their preferences after the session.
This class is designed for expectant parents at any stage of pregnancy who want to better understand the choices that may arise during labor and birth.
